This little green friend which is native to the eastern cape of South Africa. With small, dark green bunching stalks and leaves the shape and texture of this plant are its most intriguing features. this plant is about 15 cm tall and comes in a plastic nursery pot 8cm big in diameter. They are curious succulent plants with erect and branched stems that reach 25-30 cm in height. The stems have 5-7 ribs and are green and gray with longitudinal dark lines and tiny scale-like leaves. The red flowers are very showy and persistent. They bloom in late summer and early fall.
They are used in pots and planters for patios and terraces, as indoor and greenhouse plants or in rockeries and in cactus and succulent gardens.

How to care
The Pickle Plant does best if placed in partial to full sun with a minimum of 3 hours of direct sunlight per day. As soon as the temperatures exceed 10 degrees it can be placed in the garden or on the balcony. There it has to be slowly accustomed to the sun, which is no longer filtered through a window.
Water: Allow drying or nearly dry between the waterings. During the growing season, the Pickle Plant can be deep watered and sparingly during winter.
