How to care
Light: The Peacock plant likes to be placed in diffused light, direct sunlight will cause the leaves to fade and lose their precious markings. It can tolerate shade but will grow much better with indirect light.
Water: Calatheas like their soil to be moist, but is also susceptible to root rot, so don’t let the plant sit in water. Think little and often as a watering policy.
Humidity: Warm to high temperatures, ideally between 18-23°C suits Peacock best, but they will also cope with as low as 15°C. Just keep your plants away from draughts.
Fertilise: Apply a weak dose of a nitrogen-rich foliage fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season.
